Reaching the Craigdarroch
We are situated in Foyers, just off General Wade's Military Road (the B852), roughly half way between Inverness and Fort Augustus. The hotel is signposted from the B852. If you are driving from Fort Augustus, it is recommended that you take a left about 500m after the first sign for the hotel (it is a better approach road than the first left turn).
If you are travelling by electric vehicle, plan your route and find out where charging stations are located with Chargemap
Inverness is the closest airport to the Craigdarroch, approximately a 45 minute drive away. Direct flights to Inverness include those from:
Amsterdam with KLM
Belfast with LoganAir
Birmingham with LoganAir
Bristol with Easyjet
Dublin with LoganAir
London Gatwick with Easyjet
London Heathrow with British Airways
London Luton with Easyjet
Manchester with LoganAir
Inverness is the most convenient railway station with services from all over the UK, including the Caledonian Sleeper service to / from London Euston.
Bus route 16 links Foyers with Inverness, there are several services a day in either direction (the route does not operate on a Sunday). Check the stagecoach website for current timings.
Part of the charm of the Craigdarroch is it's rural location. This does mean part of your journey to us will include single-track (although well maintained) roads. For those on motorcycles, please be aware that part of our driveway has a gravel surface. If you won't have a car, bus and taxi transportation is limited and really only exists between the hotel and Inverness.
Step free access is available to all ground floor areas of the hotel, restaurant & bar and we have accessibile facilities on the ground floor for customer use. Parking for orange badge holders is situated less than 20 metres from the entrance.
The footprint of the hotel means that all hotel guest rooms are located on the first floor which is only accessible via stairs, there is no lift. All of our ensuite bathrooms feature shower over bath facilities.
