Guest Reviews from Christmas Stays at the Craigdarroch
"From start to finish our Christmas break to the Craigdarroch Inn was amazing. A stunning location matched by a cosy and warm welcome by all the staff. The food provided during our stay was exceptional….my personal favourite being the afternoon tea on Boxing Day and of course the breakfasts to die for! Such attention to detail is difficult to achieve without becoming too stuffy and we feel the perfect balance has been reached to maximum effect. We couldn’t fault the staff for all their hard work and attentiveness and making us feel extremely comfortable and relaxed. Richard and Nigel have created a gem within the highland rocks of Scotland and long may it continue. We very much doubt if we’ll be able to top this venue in future years! Wow…wow…wow!"
"Such a lovely Christmas break. We arrived on the Friday and checked in to our room which had a lovely four poster bed and a stunning view over Loch Ness.
We came down for Christmas Eve dinner and had a lovely pre dinner welcoming drink. The food was fantastic over the four days , soup with dumplings or quail eggs , smoked salmon ,salmon in a pastry. The beef cheeks were so tender, beautiful buffet in the evenings.
And Christmas dinner turkey so tender, moist and tasty with all the trimmings, sherry trifle , chocolate torte , rice pudding , and much more. We were truly spoilt for choice. The owners Nigel and Richard made us feel so welcomed and we're always on hand for their guests. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about not only the food but the standard of cleanliness"
"It is rare these days to find an establishment that exceeds your expectations, but our Christmas break at Craigdarroch did just that. The team at Craigdarroch have created a synergy that is both relaxing and efficient without being intrusive. The location is amazing, the accommodation is well appointed and the food is exceptional. We were apprehensive about spending Christmas away, but everyone worked hard to ensure our stay was festive, personal and relaxing. Truly a home form home."
